I am not handy at all. I never have been. I used to think it was a skill that I could learn, but I no longer think this is the case. I have resigned myself to having to call my neighbor whenever I need something fixed. My neighbor is a great guy who is the handiest guy I have ever met. He can fix anything. He owns his own roofing company and has for the last seven years. It is a small business that uses XO for their business internet connection, has one small office, three full-time employees, and three company trucks. However, he makes a good living and enjoys the work. He is one of the most down-to-earth, honest guys I have ever met. He is also willing to help me with all of my home fix-it projects. As an accountant, I have started doing his taxes for free every year. I figure it is the least I can do for the guy who has probably saved me thousands of dollars over the last eight years. That is how long we have been neighbors.
